The Living Kills Talk to Uncensored Interview about Deadpan Collective

The Meatopia Recipe Book by Deadpan Collective

The Meatopia Recipe Book is a collection of ruminations on the topic of (delicious) edible animals. Within these pages, writers, poets, and illustrators wrangle in and serve the full meat-eating experience, from harrowing adventures of the hunt to heartfelt essays on the making of family recipes to ineffable culinary triumphs captured only by Haiku. The recipe book was distributed at the door at Meatopia 2011, a culinary festival, at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 5, on July 23.

The original cover was handstamped with the Deadpan Collective logo, the Meatopia logo, and a farm animal.

When Sex Fantasy Goes too Far?

Did you read Audrey Ference’s latest “Sex With the Natural Redhead” column for The L Magazine? If not you should. She explores the complicated world of sex fantasy. She’s so wise…and she reads on Friday May 13 at Public Assembly.

Lesley Johnson, Deadpan illustrator extraordinaire, shows off some of her mad ambidextrous (and sometimes multidextrous) skills in the video above. Please note that her brazen arrogance is feigned. She’s really quite modest and unassuming.
